History was made for Las Vegas on Monday night, September 21, 2020. The first NFL team for Las Vegas, the Raiders took on the New Orleans Saints. The Monday night game was also the very first game that took place in the new Allegiant Stadium. No one would’ve thought the Saints would lose to the Raiders, but the Raiders surprised everyone and had a win over the New Orleans Saints.

During the first half, it looked like the Saints showed up to play, while the Raiders had a shaky start. The Saints were up 10–0 in the first quarter and it looked like the Raiders offense just couldn’t get it together. The second quarter was when the Raiders finally got the ball moving and made their first touchdown of the night. But the Saints got the ball moving once again and made another touchdown, to keep the 10-point lead against the Raiders. After a turnover on the Saints offense, the Raiders were able to tie the game 17–17 going into half time and now it’s finally a game baby!

Entering into the second half, it looked like the Raiders had a brand new team. The Raiders got their head in the game and continued to add to the scoreboard, while the Saints couldn’t get the ball moving. The Raiders had two consecutive touchdowns, while the Saints only made one touchdown in the fourth quarter the last 35 minutes of the game. Calling it game for the Las Vegas Raiders and a 34–24 win.

The Raiders take the road next Sunday and head to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts to take on Cam Newton and the New England Patriots.
